To achieve anything in life, your chances of success increase in a big way if you have the right plan in place. It couldn’t be more true when it comes to you achieving your fat loss goals…
If you’re serious about getting the figure you want, having a plan with definitive ACTION STEPS that you can focus on and take day in and day out is something you must put in place.
So why is planning so vital if you want to be successful in achieving your weight loss and fat loss goals?
A plan gives you direction and a defines SPECIFICALLY where you need to focus your actions and efforts.
The more you focus your actions and efforts on the “mission critical tasks” that need to get completed in order for you to lose weight, the greater the likelihood of you completing those tasks and actually reaching your goals.
So what are some of the “Mission Critical Tasks” you must complete if you are going to be successful in getting the figure you want?
One would be hitting your calorie and macronutrient targets. Another would be hitting your energy expenditure targets. They are the two things that will determine if you achieve a caloric deficit consistently.
And we know,
The only way to burn fat and lose inches is to consistently be in a caloric deficit!
If you plan your meals out in advance and know exactly what and when you are going to eat, are the odds of you “following through” (and eating how you need to in order to achieve your goal) better than if you didn’t?
Absolutely they are!
If you look at your weeks schedule in advance and know you can fit in workouts Mon. night after work, Wed. morning before work, Thurs. night after work, and then again on Sat. afternoon…
And then you go ahead and actually schedule them in, are the odds of you completing your workout better than if you simply said “I’m going to try and workout a couple times this week?”
Again the answer is obvious.
There is no question your ability to follow through and actually complete your Mission Critical Tasks is MUCH GREATER when you go into your days/weeks with a plan of and figure out how you’re going to make it happen.
Yet so many women don’t take the time to do this and instead, choose to “wing it” and hope for the best.
This isn’t a recipe for success and a big reason why so many women meet with constant frustration, disappointment and failure in achieving their body composition goals.
The bottom line is proper prior planning will dramatically increase the odds you actually DO the necessary things that are required reach your goals.
Getting the figure you want boils down to action…
And your ability to take action and do the right things is greatly enhanced by proper prior planning.
Take the time to plan out the actions that you need to take in order to reach your goals and then schedule them into your day. Make them a priority, take action on them, and get them done!
It’s the only way the body you want will become reality.
